We’re one month deep in sweet baby Charlie, and I’m happy to inform you that his integration into the family has been successful—nay, seamless!
From the very beginning both of his older brothers took to him and now enjoy him to no end. I was concerned there would be trouble on the jealousy front with Darren, but my former baby now enjoys being called “my little boy.” He likes getting right up in Charlie’s face and saying, “hey bay Car-y!” Or, “he loves me.”
It’s sweet to watch him with the baby. Terrifying, but sweet.
Charlie weighs in at 9 pounds 4 ounces, putting him up only a pound from his birth weight. He was slow to gain weight initially but he comes by that honestly; his father was apparently a slow-groing baby himself.
Charlie typically naps well and eats well which is about as much as you can ask for at four weeks. Hopefully by next month we’ll be able to report exciting nighttime sleep developments, but for now we’re up usually twice at night.
In case you were wondering, there is a noticeable difference, going from two kids to three. I feel it especially when we’re trying to leave the house and SHEW does it take a long time for one adult to get three kids in and out of a minivan. It’s a marathon sport.
I have only a few pictures for you today…I haven’t been as camera happy with Charlie’s first month as I was with my others. There’s always next month, but something tells me this will probably be the trend 🙂
And yes, I took pictures of the baby lying in the back of a giant toy dump truck. #boymom
